Field Coordinator: Nicaragua

Gloria lives in Nicaragua’s capital city of Managua with her husband Wilbert. She is Forward Edge’s Field Coordinator in Nicaragua … which means that she schedules our volunteer teams by securing housing, transportation, and ministry opportunities for them. We rely on her wisdom and knowledge of her culture. She has been instrumental in helping us obtain land for a “safe house” for abused/neglected children, and also in remodeling a local orphanage. Several years ago, Gloria was given the opportunity to come to America to further her education and earn a better living. She didn’t consider the opportunity, because her heart is to help her people. Instead, she came to the “edge” and is a vital partner.

Gloria is a true servant of Jesus Christ … and He is very apparent in all that she does. Children in the dump school, in the orphanages , or wherever she goes, run to her when she arrives - and she calls each one by name. They know she loves them, and she assures them Jesus does too.
