This Summer, Forward Edge will be participating in two different relays to raise money for children and families in Oaxaca, Mexico!
Hood to Coast Washington – June 3
Portland to Coast – August 25-26
Forward Edge has a team of six (pictured in the slider below) running the first ever Hood to Coast Washington relay! This race will be held on June 3, 2017 and span 77 miles through the Evergreen State, beginning from Washington’s Hood Canal and ending at the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
Portland to Coast is the largest walk-relay in the world! Teams will be making their way from Portland, through the scenic coastal mountains, and finishing in the breathtaking coastal city of Seaside. We are still looking for team members to join this momentous race! Fill out the information request form at the bottom of this page to get started!
Help us raise $10,000 for sustainable housing!
Our team’s goal is to raise $10,000 total from both races. These funds will be invested into a self-sustaining home-building business in Oaxaca Mexico, called Operation Enduring Homes. This business will bring stable employment to struggling families of the children in our Trigo y Miel program, by utilizing earth block technology to build safe and affordable homes. Learn more about earth block homes here.
