PARTNER WITH FEI

At Forward Edge we believe everyone should have an opportunity to change a life. Our FEI partners agree and have found many exciting and unique ways to share their passion. The bottom line: God can use you in amazing and powerful ways that are not always expected.

When our FEI Partners answered God's call to share their passion they reported amazing results...and extraordinary purpose!

Last fall a friend invited Mark to the FEI Love in Action banquet in Portland. Mark was struck by the overlap between his business, Clive Coffee, and the FEI projects. Clive Coffee roasts coffee from many of the countries where FEI works and clean water is a major component of that good coffee.

He began searching for ways he could blend his work with what FEI is doing and a plan took shape.

Mark is acquiring the best Nicaraguan coffee beans, which he plans to feature in a special roast that will highlight the work of Villa Esperanza. Because Mark will be giving 100% of his profits from this roast to support the Villa, his customers will know that their purchase actually helped a child!

Mark will be featuring this special roast in August, 2009. Visit www.clivecoffee.com to sign-up for his newsletter to be sure you get in on the roast!

Hannah went to Nicaragua in the summer of 2008 and the sights and smells of La Chureca (the dump community in Managua, Nicaragua) have weighed on her heart ever since. She just had to tell people about it.

She papered her school with posters and fliers, spreading information about the problems the children in the dump face each day. She spoke to classes and put collection jars in classrooms and lunch lines. As word spread, people began bringing extra money to school just to donate!

Over the year, Hannah and her classmates raised awareness and over $700 of support for Villa Esperanza, a home rescuing vulnerable girls from life in the dump.

Hannah believes, "...anyone would be willing to help if they heard about La Chureca."

Kaitlin remembers being struck"by how quickly God worked in the hearts and lives of the girls living at Villa Esperanza."

After she returned home in July of 2008, she knew God wanted her to continue serving the Nicaraguans she’d met. So she designed a T-shirt as part of her senior project to sell at school and raise support for Villa Esperanza.

“I thought that I would be able to just sell my shirts and raise money, but God worked through that and gave me many opportunities to share the stories of the girls and how He is at work in Nicaragua.”

Kaitlin raised tons of awareness, $419 in support, and she learned how much God can do when she lets Him lead.

This photo of Kaitlin and Sara (a child living at Villa Esperanza) was taken on Kaitlin's second trip to Nicaragua, July 2009.
