After surrendering his life to Christ in 1974, Joseph served for more than 20 years with an international church-planting ministry. He responded to God’s calling for his life in 1983 and founded Forward Edge, a ministry connecting the global church to programs and organizations that benefit vulnerable children around the world. Over the years, Joseph has traveled to more than 60 countries, leading missions teams, pioneering new ministry locations, providing encouragement to Forward Edge staff, and even motorcycling from Athens to London.
In addition to regular speaking and teaching, Joseph is also an author — his first book, Message in a Body, is a memoir based on his early life, travels, and eventual conviction to follow God, and his latest book, The Best Story of Your Life, empowers readers to practically live out their God-given missions. He is passionate about equipping young people to explore their stories, discover their giftings, and partner with God so they can live out His dreams and find true, life-changing purpose.
Joseph and his wife, Karen, have three children, and while Joseph is a native New Yorker, he and his wife live in Vancouver, Washington.
