On the morning of September 20, 2017, Hurricane Maria tore through Puerto Rico. It was the largest hurricane to make landfall in this U.S. Territory in 80 years, leaving the entire island without electricity and whole communities destroyed. Local authorities said it would take decades to rebuild. Today, thousands of Puerto Ricans are still living without proper roofs. Teams will have the opportunity to work alongside the local church and help families rebuild their homes and lives.
Regardless of your skill set, together we can provide free labor to gut homes, install roofs, and assist the community in rebuilding their homes and lives.
Any team of 10 or more is invited to serve in Puerto Rico. Total trip cost for each team member is $695 + $2,700 per team to cover project costs.

Teams will stay in a local church in Ponce. Air-mattresses and showers will be available. Team members are asked to bring their own bedding and towels. The team will have meals prepared by local Puerto Ricans.
IMMUNIZATIONS: Forward Edge strongly recommends that each team member has a current tetanus shot. Please consult a personal physician for any other recommendations.
TEAM PACKS: Once team member registration is complete, Forward Edge will send individualized team packs including a Forward Edge t-shirt, Team Member Manual, and other helpful information.
SCHEDULE: Each day your team will experience a morning devotional, an evening debrief, and relationship building opportunities through serving local people.
