Walking for Oaxaca

This Summer, Forward Edge will be participating in the world famous Portland to Coast walking relay to raise money for impoverished families in Oaxaca, Mexico! Our team’s goal is to raise $10,000. These funds will be invested into a self-sustaining home-building business. This business will bring stable employment to struggling families of the children in our Trigo y Miel program, by utilizing earth block technology to build safe and affordable homes. Restoring Cuba

We’ve talked a lot about the devastating impact Hurricane Matthew had on Haiti last October, but Cuba was hit hard by this storm as well. There are hundreds of thousands of people who lost their roofs, or had their homes damaged or completely destroyed. And thousands lost their livelihoods because of damage to agriculture. Today, many Cubans are still in the process of recovering.
