Sell a Home, Save a Child (SAHSAC) began when two Realtors, Nick Shivers and Erik Hatch, decided to inspire their colleagues to be part of transforming the lives of vulnerable children. Nick and Erik had both been supporters of Forward Edge International, and after seeing firsthand on short-term mission trips the children and communities devastated by material poverty, they put their heads together and created, in partnership with Forward Edge, Sell a Home, Save a Child (SAHSAC).
Our child-focused, community development programs are located in Cuba, Haiti, Kenya, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Uganda. The goal of these programs is to break the cycle of poverty for entire communities by raising disciples of Jesus Christ, meeting basic needs like food and clean water, and empowering individuals through education, vocational training, and job creation.
Each year, we limit overhead costs so more can go directly to serving the vulnerable.
Our children’s programs have proven effective towards long-term, holistic transformation.
