Raymond lives with his parents and three siblings in a two-bedroom house built with mud and roofed with thatch; they have no latrine. The family has access to electricity but no potable water. The village women and girls must fetch water from a local dam until it dries up, and then walk long distances to find other sources.
Raymond’s family is Christian. His mother is a housewife and his father is a small-hold farmer but barely harvests enough to last them throughout the year; they usually eat only once a day. Providing for the basic needs of the family is very challenging.
You can help the girls at Villa Esperanza, and hundreds of other children like them, through our Join The Village opportunity.JOIN THE VILLAGE
