Alexis lives with his parents and two siblings in a two-room concrete block house. His mother stays at home to care for the family and his father works as a construction worker. Their financial situation is difficult, and his older brother has to work part-time to help out while attending college.
His brother, Jonathan, and sister, Jennifer, are also in the Trigo y Miel program.
