Christian and his two older sisters live with their grandparents in a plastered three-room house with electricity. They have a good bathroom facility. They retrieve their water from a borehole. Christian’s mother abandoned her children after separating from their father, leaving them in his care. However, Christian’s dad suffers from substance abuse and is unable to provide with the little wage he earns from casual jobs; therefore, the children are being cared for by their grandparents.
