Martha lives with her sick grandmother, uncle, cousin, and six siblings in a two-room wood house with electricity and a dirt floor. They fetch water from a seasonal river. Martha’s mother died in 2021 and her uncle took her and her siblings in. He works as a casual laborer to provide for the large family. They rely largely on neighbors and the church for donations of food and household necessities.
