Bethwel Lives with his mother, two brothers, his aunt, and grandmother in a three-room stone house that has electricity. The home is owned by his grandmother. They fetch water from a bore hole and have a pit latrine outdoors.
His father is not in their lives and his mother struggles to find work to provide for her children as a single parent.
