Bonjou (hello), my name is Dalancia
6 yrs. old
Entered the Program: July 2021
Dalancia lives with her aunt and 2 brothers in a six-room concrete block house that has electricity, running water and indoor bathroom. Her father abandoned the family in 2018 and her mother tries to provide for the children by selling used clothing as a street vendor but doesn’t earn enough. The children live with their aunt who is able to help care for them, but paying school fees is a challenge.
