Maria Carla currently lives with both of her parents (who are divorcing) and sister on the second floor of a rented house in good condition. Their home has electricity, but only has running water every 2 days from the town water line. They cook with propane and boil water for drinking.
Maria Carla’s mother does manicure work for the ladies in her neighborhood and her father works as a security guard. The family also raises pigs for market.
Maria Carla suffers with a circulation problem in her legs and one
knee is not growing properly. She cannot walk long distances and
activity is limited.
Maria Carla's sister, Rachel, is also in the Good Samaritans Club.
