Allen lives with her mother and brother in a three-room house. She shares a bedroom with them and they take turns bathing and changing clothes for privacy. The family uses a charcoal stove and sometimes firewood to prepare food. Water is fetched from a tap that is three houses down. Allen's mother raises chickens to provide for the family.
Allen's brother, Reagan, sister, Majorine, and cousin, Irene are also in the Light A Candle program.
As a child sponsor, you’re providing things like nutritious meals, safe drinking water, education, health care, and spiritual instruction. You’ll receive a sponsor kit which includes your child’s profile and photo. You’ll also receive quarterly updates on your impact and letters from your child!
You can build a relationship with your child by sending photos, emails, letters and cards. You can even visit your child if you go on a short-term mission trip with a group!
