Manuel Aarón lives with his parents and big sister, Dayi (also in the program) in a small one-bedroom, poorly constructed house. He and his sister share a bunkbed in the living room. The family cooks with propane and electricity. Water is supplied by the town aqueduct every two days. There is a polluted grey water swale in front of their house.
Manuel’s mother stays home to care for the home and his father is employed by the church as a gardener; he helped plant and tends their vegetable garden.
Manuel's stepsisters, Anabel and Rosabel, and sister, Dayi, are also in the Good Samaritans Club.
