Registration Agreement

Code of Conduct

Forward Edge International is committed to cultural and spiritual sensitivity at each of its locations. Therefore, all employees, volunteers and team members must agree to withhold from any activity that may compromise the overall relationships and effectiveness of its services while on location. All employees, volunteers and team members are asked to refrain from alcohol consumption, drug use, questionable or vulgar language, public displays of affection or any other culturally offensive behavior while on location with the team.

I understand the expectations and guidelines during this trip with Forward Edge International and agree to adhere to Forward Edge's Code of Conduct while on location with the team.

Photo & Video Release

I further understand that photos and videos taken of me during my mission trip may be used by Forward Edge International at their discretion unless I request otherwise.

Non-Refundable Administrative Fees

I understand that a portion of my team fees is a non-refundable administrative fee. I also understand that if I cancel within 30 days of my trip's departure date, my team fees are not refundable.

I accept the above agreements and have completed this registration form honestly, answering all questions to the best of my ability.

Coordination Agreement

I understand the trip fee includes food, lodging and on-site transportation, an experienced facilitator, practical preparatory materials, medical insurance and logistical coordination. It does not include transit expenses to location, such as airfare. Specific medical insurance costs for both international and domestic trips is included in your trip fees.

I understand that there will be a trained FEI Facilitator acting as a liaison between the team, field staff, and those we serve. The Facilitator is a volunteer who has been extensively trained by FEI to serve alongside and support the team in every way. The Facilitator coordinates morning devotions and evening debriefs with the team and leads a re-entry session to prepare the team for their arrival back home. I will take responsibility for ensuring that I honor these scheduled times of meeting by attending and participating.

There will be at least 10 people participating on this team. If the number of participants is less than 10 people, FEI reserves the right to increase trip fees or to cancel the trip.

I understand that I am responsible for making sure that all payments are made by the due dates agreed upon by Forward Edge International. Payments may be made either online or by check. Please include your team number on ALL payments.

A team member who notifies FEI of their intent to cancel their participation in this team at least 30 days before departure date is entitled to a partial refund of funds paid above the non-refundable deposit. Any cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the departure date are not entitled to a refund of trip fees.

Any request for reimbursement for cancellation, overpaid trip fees, or extra donations, etc. is the responsibility of the team member to research and request.

As a team member, I agree to adequately prepare myself for the mission trip experience using Forward Edge training materials.

Although FEI is a Christian organization, we welcome participation from all people desiring to serve. We have found such relationships to be beneficial to all involved, provided they are approached with sensitivity. Our field partnerships are with indigenous Christians--usually churches--and it is important to our ongoing work that team members be sensitive to their beliefs as well as to their culture. Please read and consider our statement of faith. If you feel that you can work side by side with us, we welcome you to join us in our humanitarian endeavors.

I agree to purchase flights based on the instructions that FEI provides for my trip. I also understand that FEI advises me to research and purchase travel insurance for my airfare in the event that there is an interruption of my trip (natural disaster, illness prior to my departure, etc.).

As a ministry partner serving vulnerable children, I agree to provide 3 references to Forward Edge International prior to serving on location.

We believe in God the Father, who through Christ created the heavens and earth, who is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, fully God and fully man, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, sinless in this life, making atonement for the sins of the world by His death on the cross.

We believe God created human beings male and female in His image and designed sexual relations to be experienced only in the context of marriage between one biological man and one biological woman. These parameters were created to help us reflect His unique characteristics and understand Christ's devoted relationship to His Church. Only when we embrace them can we flourish under His created order (Gen. 1:26-28; 2:24; Matt. 19:1-11; 1 Cor. 6:9; Eph. 5:22-33; Heb. 13:4). This position also aligns with the cultural perspectives in our program locations, increasing unity as we serve together.

Faith in Action: The gospel is both word and action. You cannot have one without the other. Declaring and demonstrating the good news of Jesus Christ has always been – and will always be – at the heart of everything we do. (James 2:14-18, Romans 10:14-15)
Children: It all starts with children. They are the present and the future. Our programs equip and empower children to flourish and become gospel-centered agents of change in their families and communities for generations to come. (Matthew 19:14, Proverbs 22:6)
Empowerment: We do things with people instead of for them. We fuel the vision and dreams of local leaders who know best how to empower their own. Our aim is to help every person pursue the good works God prepared uniquely for them. (Ephesians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7)
Trusted Relationships: Our God is relational and loves to advance His work through meaningful relationships. We serve one another, care for one another, work with one another, and dream with one another. We always prioritize people over projects because nothing else in this world will continue into eternity. (John 13:35, Colossians 3:1-2, 12-14)
