Covid shutdowns, limited education for two years, no hope of ever catching up – this was Liz’s life in Mexico.
Liz now attends our private Christian school in Mexico and is determined to succeed in her classes, and wakes up before the sun to study for tests. She is also thriving spiritually. Liz was baptized this year and is deeply involved in the youth group!
Born with a debilitating eye condition, made worse by incorrect treatments, and no money to pursue more help – this was Peter’s life before Forward Edge.
Our program director, Jane, intervened for Peter, convincing his family to pursue further treatment, and ensuring he could get the glasses he needed to correct his vision. Without glasses, it was discovered that Peter would have eventually lost his sight.
Raised in an extremely poor community that undervalued education for girls, Elizabeth reluctantly abandoned her schooling ambitions, succumbing to it’s financial burden on her family.
Elizabeth’s educational aspirations and essential support for her family are now provided for, fostering hope, emotional mentorship, and spiritual growth, leading to a profound understanding of God’s love and purpose in her life.
