Beyond meeting their critical needs, you have the opportunity to build a priceless personal relationship with your child. You can get to know each other more by writing letters, sending video messages, and visiting them on a mission trip.
Most importantly, by choosing to sponsor your child, you’re helping them discover their true worth and God-given purpose for their life. You can’t put a price tag on that!
We don’t always hear from the children about how sponsorship has changed their lives: Often, they’re shy, embarrassed, or can’t find the words to express their gratitude. But sometimes, we are blessed to get a glimpse into their heart and thoughts. Below is a section of a letter that a sponsor recently received from Allan in Uganda:
“You have been an immense source of strength and courage for me during this tough phase. I cannot thank you enough for ensuring I finish my education without any hurdles. Being a part of a college was just a dream for me until you entered my life. I am the only person in my family to get such an opportunity. None of this would have been possible without your constant support and guidance. I shall forever be grateful to you.”

Gift lives with her adoptive parents and four older adopted siblings; she is the baby of the family. They live in a four-bedroom, bungalow-style house with a cement floor and electricity. Meals and drinking water are prepared using firewood from an outdoor kitchen, and they have an outdoor toilet facility which is in good condition. Water is fetched from a water tap within the family compound. The family raises chickens and goats for additional food.
